Friday, October 6, 2023 vs. Edwardsville

Keep your schedule flexible for the possibility of performing in the playoffs! These games will be on either Friday night or Saturday afternoon. We WILL perform in playoff games if at all possible. The only reasons that the band will not perform would be due to prior commitments inclucing IMEA Jazz Festival on Nov. 4 or IMEA Concert Festival on Nov. 18. Each of these events have already been scheduled.

5:30 PM - Meet on Central Terrace to dress and warm up
5:50 PM - Battery Percussion will bring football team over in summer dress.
6:15 PM - Parade block on central terrace 
6:30 PM - Band prepare to troop to football stadium and Charlie Woodford Field
6:47 PM - Pregame Show begins (God Bless America, Star Spangled Banner, School Song)
7:00 PM - Kick Off - For the first half, the band will sit in the end zone bleachers and play stands tunes. When 6 minutes are remaining in the 2nd quarter, we will warm up. We will take the field for half time as soon as the second quarter is over.  
7:45 PM - Approximate time for halftime - after halftime, the band will exit the field toward side 1 and continue to the band room for dismissal. Parents we will not be doing the spiral at this time so that we can quickly put things away and dismiss students back to the game (if they wish). Once we dismiss, students are free to go. See special instructions for Saturday games)
Times may adjust slightly as instructions may be given.

During the first half of the game we will SIT in the end zone bleachers in your section. You may not randomly get up and wander around. You must stay with the band and in your section. 

Uniform plans for each game will be different. 

August 25 - Shorts and your dri fit shirt. 

September 22 - Summer uniform (bibbers and dri fit shirt) for pregame (depending on weather) - Performance shirts for half time

October 6 - Full dress uniform (no hats) for pregame (depending on weather... if it is still warm, we will wear summer uniform) - Performance shirts for half time

9:00 AM until 11:00 AM - All you care to eat pancake breakfast begins. Pricing will be posted soon. 
11:00 AM - Meet on Central Terrace to dress and warm up
11:50 AM - Battery Percussion will bring football team over in summer dress.
11:50 PM - Parade block on central terrace 
12:30 PM - Band prepare to troop to football stadium and Charlie Woodford Field
12:47 PM - Pregame Show begins (God Bless America, Star Spangled Banner, School Song)
1:00 PM - Kick Off - For the first half, the band will sit in the end zone bleachers and play stands tunes. When 6 minutes are remaining in the 2nd quarter, we will warm up. We will take the field for half time as soon as the second quarter is over.  
1:45 PM - Approximate time for halftime - after halftime, the band will exit the field toward side 1 and continue to the band room for dismissal. After we change, we will go in to the PAC to watch prelims awards at 3:30PM. We will leave uniforms on the ramps. In the event that we need to leave to perform again, instructions will be given. If we make finals at BOA, we will prepare to depart. If we do not, we will dismiss. Students who wish to return to watch finals will load buses at 6:00 PM. Tickets back into the dome for those students are $5.00. (Money will be collected on the bus).
