This year the Belleville East High School Marching Lancers and the BEBOP (Belleville East Band and Orchestra Parents) will be hosting the 5th annual Belleville East High School Marching Invitational. The festival will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2009 and will begin around 10:45 AM and end no later than 4:00 PM. The deadline for entry is August 20.

Schools will be grouped by band size and split into at least three classes.

We will be using the adjudication sheets from the Mid America Marching Consortium (MAMC) this year. Awards will be given for band placement (to be determined by how many bands are in each class), outstanding music, marching, general effect, percussion and auxiliary.

We also encourage you to participate in the Metro East Marching Classic at O'Fallon High School. The Marching Classic begins at approximately 4:00 PM and is located approximately 15 minutes from Belleville East so you will have plenty of time to do both.

Performance order will be determined in part by placement in the 2008 festival and the date of the postmark (or emailed electronic date) on your entry form.  Additional information will be mailed to participating schools by late August so please send your entry forms and fees in as early as possible. Final performance schedules will be mailed out during the first week of September. If you have any concerns with the ACT please inform me as soon as possible.
